Client: City of Moscow
Objective: To upgrade the play zone within a limited courtyard area surrounded by tall trees. The goal was to fully preserve the mature green spaces while compactly accommodating a maximum number of developmental activities.
Solution: The low-profile «Beryllium» play complex, which integrates 12 developmental and play functions at once. The design stimulates core physical skills, allowing children to actively climb nets, balance on suspension bridges, hang, and slide. Interactive elements develop thinking and tactile sensations. The architecture of the complex also supports crucial psycho-emotional functions—ranging from role-playing, imagination, and active communication to isolated zones for privacy and emotional decompression.
Result: Within a small footprint, children gained an endless variety of play scenarios. Meanwhile, the tall trees remained completely unharmed and now form a natural shade canopy over the entire playground.
