Client: City of Moscow
Objective: To set up a modern play zone on a site with complex terrain and sharp elevation changes, safely integrating the equipment into the natural slope and utilizing landscape features to create unique play scenarios.
Solution: Space design featuring the active use of geoplastics. Artificial, multicolored hemispherical mounds were formed on the playground to develop children’s balance and coordination. A large-scale, multi-level wooden complex with high, winding tube slides was installed right at the base of the steep natural slope. The entrance area and descent into the hollow were equipped with a gentle wooden boardwalk ramp with sturdy metal railings.
Result: The challenging terrain was transformed into the project’s main advantage. The playground seamlessly integrated into the existing wind-protected green slope, while the multi-level landscape unlocked dozens of new scenarios for active outdoor play.
