Terms and Conditions
When does the warranty period begin
If the equipment is installed by a third-party contractor or by the customer themselves, the warranty period starts from the date the equipment is received. If the installation is performed by Leber, the warranty period starts from the date the installation work is completed.
What the warranty covers
The warranty applies to products of the Leber, Millennium, and Moskvich brands. Warranty obligations cover material defects, manufacturing defects, and structural integrity violations arising from design errors, raw material defects, or manufacturing defects.
Conditions for the warranty to apply
Installation and subsequent maintenance of the equipment must be carried out in accordance with Leber’s recommendations and instructions. When reviewing a warranty claim, documents confirming correct installation and the performance of scheduled maintenance may be required.
How a warranty case is determined
Each request is reviewed individually. Leber specialists determine the cause of the defect and decide whether it qualifies as a warranty case. What the warranty period depends on
Different materials, structures, and components have different warranty periods — ranging from 1 to 15 years.
Limitations and Exclusions
What damage is not covered by the warranty
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from improper use, violation of storage or installation rules, inadequate care and maintenance, use of the equipment for purposes other than intended, or structural modifications made without Leber’s approval.
Warranty cases also do not include damage caused by the actions of third parties, force majeure circumstances, or natural wear and tear of the equipment.
What is considered natural wear and tear
Changes in the appearance of materials that gradually occur during normal use and are not related to manufacturing defects. These include changes in the color and texture of wood, minor surface cracks, surface corrosion of metal elements, fading and abrasion of coatings, and other aesthetic features that do not affect the safety and functionality of the equipment.
How maintenance affects the warranty
The equipment must be regularly inspected, cleaned of dirt, and any damage to protective coatings must be repaired promptly. The frequency and requirements depend on the material: for example, wooden elements should be inspected once every three months, stainless steel and paint coatings once every 6–12 months, and fasteners and bearings once a year. If a defect arises due to a lack of necessary care or non-compliance with maintenance requirements, it is not considered a warranty case.
What conditions apply near the sea and pools
The warranty does not cover corrosion if the equipment comes into contact with salt or chlorinated water, or is installed less than 500 meters from the sea. Special conditions also apply in cases of high humidity, constant condensation, exposure to salts, or industrial or urban pollution. For equipment installed in such environments, additional protection with Leber Hot Zinc Protect is recommended.
Warranty specifics for wooden elements
Products with elements made of non-laminated pine, larch, and plywood are not designed for use in conditions combining high temperature and excessive humidity. The warranty does not cover such elements in tropical climates, as well as in corresponding subtropical climate conditions.
For products made of laminated wood, this limitation does not apply, provided maintenance requirements are met.
Does the warranty cover products from other manufacturers
Leber also supplies products from third-party manufacturers. The warranty does not extend to such products. They are covered by the warranty terms of the respective manufacturer.
Submit a Warranty Claim
To submit a warranty claim, please provide the product’s SKU, a short description of what happened, and a photo of the damage in the form below.
What Happens After Submitting a Warranty Claim
Leber specialists review the claim and determine whether the defect qualifies as a warranty case. If the case is recognized as covered by the warranty, the company provides information on the timeline for resolving the defect within two business days.
How a warranty defect is resolved
The procedure depends on who performed the equipment installation.
If the installation was carried out by Leber or a contractor authorized by the company, Leber resolves the defect on its own at no additional cost to the customer.
If the equipment was installed by the customer or a third-party contractor, Leber provides the necessary spare parts free of charge. In this case, the removal of damaged elements, installation of new ones, and related work are carried out at the customer’s expense.
If the case is not recognized as covered by the warranty
If the defect resulted from natural wear and tear, improper use, or violation of storage, installation, or maintenance rules, repair, part replacement, and related costs are paid by the customer.
Equipment Maintenance
Regular inspection and timely care help keep the equipment in good working condition and are one of the conditions for the warranty to remain valid.
Stainless steel elements, bearings, and fasteners
Stainless steel elements must be inspected once every 6–12 months to check for buildup, discoloration, or signs of surface corrosion. Special cleaning products designed for stainless steel should be used. Chlorine-based compounds, abrasive powders, and metal brushes must not be used.
The condition of bearings and fasteners should be visually checked once a year.
Paint coating of metal elements
The condition of the coating must be checked once every 6–12 months. If damage appears on the surface, the coating should be restored promptly to protect the metal from further environmental exposure.
Wooden elements
Wooden parts must be inspected at least once every 3 months. Special attention should be paid to coating damage, chips, splinters, as well as the appearance of mold or other biological damage.
Shrinkage and cracking in individual wooden elements may be a natural property of wood and, by themselves, do not indicate a manufacturing defect.
Concrete elements in winter
Chloride- and acetate-based chemical de-icing agents must not be used to combat ice buildup. Sand, fine gravel, or a sand-gravel mixture should be used instead.
Ice should also not be removed using rigid tools. Equipment with rubber attachments must be used for mechanical cleaning.
