Play Cluster with the «Towers» Complex at Belovezhsky Pond

Client: City of Moscow.

Objective: design a modern children’s play zone within the recreational cluster at Belovezhsky Pond. Situated just 100 meters from the main stage and city event venue, the site required an eye-catching architectural concept with high throughput capacity and resistance to intensive operational loads.

Solution: the centerpiece of the location is the large-scale «Towers» play complex. Its defining architectural feature is the use of stretched shade sails instead of traditional pitched wooden or plastic roofs, giving the structure a sleek, modern silhouette. Heavy-duty, wear-resistant HPL plastic was selected as the primary material for the panels and structural components.

The play complex is complemented by an enclosed spiral tube slide and a surrounding expansive rope climbing zone that echoes the suspended hammocks and structural elements of the «Towers.»

Result: an architecturally striking play space was established at Belovezhsky Pond, becoming the focal point of the entire park cluster. Seamlessly integrated into the event area, the playground effortlessly handles peak visitor traffic during city festivals and public holidays.
