Dog Exercise and Training Area for Large Breeds in December Uprising Park

18 Trekhgorny Val Street, Moscow

Client: Department of Capital Repair of the City of Moscow (DKR).

Objective: As part of the redevelopment of December Uprising Park, the project called for dedicated areas where dogs could be exercised and trained. At the request of local residents, two separate facilities were provided: one for small breeds and another for large breeds. Each area covers approximately 190 m². Both were positioned in the western part of the park, away from residential buildings and the main pedestrian routes.

Solution: The large-breed area was enclosed and equipped with Leber training modules designed for physical exercise and basic command practice. The course includes a hill-climb ramp, hurdles and a crawl tunnel. The hill-climb module combines a steel frame with laminated plywood surfaces suitable for repeated outdoor use. Granite screenings were selected for the ground surface because they drain quickly and allow the facility to be used soon after rainfall. An information board was installed at the entrance, while a drinking bowl and dog-waste bin were provided inside the enclosure.

Result: The project created a dedicated facility where large dogs can be exercised separately from smaller animals. The equipment forms a continuous training route, while the perimeter fence and free-draining surface support convenient day-to-day operation in a busy urban park.
