Leber Introduces the World’s First Scientific Playground on Board an Airplane

A real Boeing 777 has become part of the new tourist destination, Boulevard Runway, in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Leber’s scientific play modules have transformed the aircraft interior into an interactive zone for children.

Spanning 140,000 square meters, Boulevard Runway resembles a massive runway, complete with three Boeing 777 aircraft. Within one of these planes, Leber has created a scientific children’s play center, equipping it with seven educational modules designed to let kids conduct experiments and uncover the principles behind physical phenomena.

For example, the Shadow Play introduces optical effects, the Electric Labyrinth demonstrates how electrons move, and the Coastal Lighthouse teaches the differences between halogen, fluorescent, and LED lamps.

The opening of Boulevard Runway in Riyadh is part of the Saudi Seasons initiative, one of the largest entertainment projects in the world. Previous editions of Saudi Seasons have drawn over 10 million visitors. Leber’s scientific playgrounds are ready for this level of demand: every module is built to withstand intensive use.

“We’re proud that our project has become part of such a significant cultural event, shining a spotlight on educational play and showcasing Russian innovation on the global stage. Leber continues to expand its concept of scientific playgrounds, making them accessible to children around the world,” said Igor Shapovalov, Leber’s Marketing Director.

The Riyadh project is another step in Leber’s mission to popularize scientific play spaces across the globe. We believe these initiatives inspire the next generation to explore the world, and in just a few years, thousands of passionate young scientists, raised on our playgrounds, will be shaping the future of science.
