Children’s Playground on the Shore of Amur Bay, Vladivostok
Client: Lazo Municipal Budgetary Institution.
Objective: To create a play area for children of different ages in Lazo Park on the shore of Amur Bay. The proximity to the sea and high humidity require additional protection against corrosion and weathering.
Solution: The playground equipment features Leber Zinc Protect coating on its metal components, which reduces the risk of corrosion under continuous exposure to humid marine air. Play structures of varying heights and difficulty provide activities for toddlers and older children, while interactive elements combine physical activity with sensory and cognitive play. The equipment was positioned among the existing trees to preserve open circulation routes and views of the bay. Open frames, transparent inserts and a light grey-and-beige palette with lime-green accents reduce the visual weight of the structures and connect them with the natural surroundings.
Result: The renewed section of the park now provides a contemporary play space for children of different ages. The layout preserves the character of the site, while the equipment’s corrosion protection meets the demands of operation in a coastal climate.
