Leber's Innovative Scientific Playgrounds Sweep National Design Award

Leber has been awarded the national prize for "Innovative Design in Playground Small Architectural Forms".

The award ceremony took place at the Central House of Architects in Moscow, where the winners of the nationwide "Play Environment" award were honored. Leber triumphed in the category of "Innovative Design in Playground Small Architectural Forms".

The prize was awarded to Leber's scientific playgrounds, which have gained immense popularity across the country—over the past two years, these scientific play modules have been installed in 40 regions of Russia.

"We are particularly pleased that this project was recognized. The work on it was no easy feat: we were tasked with creating playgrounds where children could explore electricity without requiring a connection to the grid. Moreover, unlike similar themed playgrounds found in some of the world's finest museums, our scientific experiments had to function outdoors in all weather conditions—whether in the heat of summer or during snowstorms. At the outset, this seemed like an impossible task, but thanks to the efforts of the Leber team, we succeeded in realizing everything we envisioned," said Leber's CEO, Artem Sorokin, at the award ceremony.

The concept of scientific playgrounds, which combines an educational approach with a playful format, was developed by Leber in 2020. The implementation took two years, and in 2022, the scientific playgrounds were showcased at the Second Congress of Young Scientists in Sochi.

Experts from Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov were involved in creating each scientific element, and the President of Russia recommended these playgrounds for all regions of the country.
