Sustainability Principles and Green Approach at Leber

Leber cares about the environment and adheres to the principles of sustainability in the production of playgrounds. Our team carefully selects materials and technologies that minimize negative impact and meet safety standards.

Forest conservation and restoration
Forest conservation and restoration

We purchase wood only from suppliers who have a forest coupon — a special document confirming the company's participation in reforestation programs. This year alone, with our support, we planted trees in seven regions of Russia on an area of more than 50 hectares. We are confident that 100% of the forest areas where materials for our playgrounds are harvested will be restored.

Recycled plastic
Recycled plastic

We use recycled plastic pellets derived from PET lids, which reduces the amount of plastic waste. The use of recycled plastic reduces the consumption of natural resources and significantly reduces the amount of waste ending up in landfills, helping to reduce the burden on the environment. Plastic recycling technology also helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improving the environment.

Metal recycling
Metal recycling

In production, we often use recycled metal, which reduces the consumption of natural resources and reduces waste. Recycling metal requires significantly less energy than producing metal from virgin resources. This reduces the consumption of non-renewable energy sources and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, metal recycling helps to conserve natural resources such as iron ore, coal and limestone that are used in primary metal production.

Efficient energy saving
Efficient energy saving

We have installed systems for shutting down machines after hours. Automatic shutdown of equipment reduces energy consumption and thus the load on the energy infrastructure. Reduced energy consumption in turn reduces greenhouse gas emissions such as carbon dioxide (CO2). In addition, machine shutdown systems help to increase the longevity of equipment, which reduces the need to produce new machines and, consequently, reduces the amount of production waste and the consumption of resources required to manufacture them.

Waste recycling
Waste recycling

Leber deals with metal rolling and recycling of waste paper. Metal rolling is the process of recycling metal waste and scrap into new materials, which can then be used to produce various products. This significantly reduces the consumption of natural resources and reduces energy costs. Recycling scrap metal helps reduce the amount of waste that may have taken up a lot of space and taken hundreds of years to decompose. This practice significantly reduces sulfur dioxide and carbon dioxide emissions, helping to improve air quality. Recycling waste paper reduces the number of trees needed to produce new paper. This encourages the development of a circular economy where materials are reused and waste is turned into new resources.

Utilization of low-carbon renewable energy
Utilization of low-carbon renewable energy

We actively utilize low-carbon renewable energy in our manufacturing processes, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 15%. Renewable energy provides a sustainable and long-term solution to meet the energy needs of operations without depleting natural resources. Leber is committed to minimizing its carbon footprint by supporting the use of clean energy sources.

Utilization of industrial waste for heating
Utilization of industrial waste for heating

Industrial waste such as sawdust, shavings, wood waste or residues from material processing serve us as an excellent source of heat. Using this waste for heating helps to reduce energy costs. It helps reduce carbon emissions because the materials are burned under controlled conditions and minimizes methane emissions that are produced when organic waste decomposes in landfills. Production through this practice reduces its dependence on external energy sources, which strengthens sustainability.

Environmentally friendly solutions for ropes
Environmentally friendly solutions for ropes

We use polyester ropes and wrap each strand with recycled material. This not only makes the ropes very durable and resistant to vandalism, but also makes them more environmentally friendly. The rope fasteners are made from recycled aluminum cans, which reduces energy consumption and waste.
