Over One Million Visitors Experience Leber’s Scientific Playground Aboard a Boeing 777

Leber’s groundbreaking scientific playground, installed inside an actual Boeing 777 at Boulevard Runway in Riyadh, has attracted over one million visitors in just three months.

This unique installation has become a magnet not only for residents of Saudi Arabia but also for guests from neighboring countries— the UAE, Oman, Qatar—as well as visitors from Europe, Asia, and America.

Visitors have noted that Leber’s interactive science modules brilliantly combine education with entertainment, while the extraordinary setting inside an aircraft adds an extra layer of fascination to the experience.

“We create playgrounds that develop critical thinking and stimulate curiosity,” said Igor Shapovalov, Marketing Director at Leber. “It is gratifying to see that both children and adults actively engage with our scientific playground aboard the aircraft. In Riyadh, people from different countries and cultures come together in one space, each finding something unique: some are passionately exploring the laws of physics, others are honing their coordination, while some simply enjoy the unusual ambiance of an airplane transformed into a playground. This confirms once again that well-designed, high-tech play environments can inspire and unite people, regardless of age, language, or tradition.”

This year, Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Season tourism project—of which Boulevard Runway is a key zone—has been breaking attendance records, with total visitor numbers already exceeding 16 million.

Boulevard Runway is an expansive 140,000-square-metre entertainment park that features three genuine aircraft, each transformed into a themed venue: a children’s play and educational center, an immersive fear pavilion, and a restaurant styled like a first-class cabin from elite airlines.

Leber’s scientific playgrounds were developed in 2022 and first showcased at the Young Scientists’ Congress in Sochi. The project immediately captured widespread attention, and by March 2023 the President had recommended these scientific playgrounds for all regions of Russia as part of the “Decade of Science” initiative. Today, similar educational play zones can be found in 40 regions across the country.
